What is the difference between collision coverage and comprehensive coverage?

  • Collision Coverage: Covers damages when your car collides with another vehicle or object. The only collision covered under comprehensive is with an animal (e.g., a deer).
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Provides coverage for damage not caused by a collision, such as vandalism, theft, fire, and glass damage.
